Boston University's Graduate Student Conference in African Studies will be celebrating its 21st consecutive event. This year's conference will feature the work of emerging graduate scholars engaging Africa from an array of disciplines.

The 2013 conference will be held at Boston University, March 29-30.
The application deadline will be February 1, 2013

Boston University Women Graduates' Club Scholarship - available to female students who are both full-time and a US Citizen.  

 

The Women Graduate's Club, established in 1912, is the oldest alumni organization at Boston University.  The club's objectives have been "to promote the interests of Boston University, to strengthen woman's educational opportunities, to further all causes that make for woman's welfare and progress," and to award scholarships to deserving women students.

New Directions in Comparative Theology, Interreligious Dialogue, Theology of Religions, and Missiology

 

BOSTON COLLEGE

MARCH 22-24, 2013

Proposals due by December 10, 2012 

 

In keeping with the 1995 General Congregation of the Society of Jesus' initiatives on interreligious dialogue, the U.S. Jesuit Assistancy for Mission and Interreligious Dialogue and the Boston College Theology Department announce their ninth annual graduate student conference in the areas of comparative theology, interreligious dialogue, theology of religions, and missiology. This conference is open to graduate students at Jesuit institutions and other schools of higher

education. Undergraduates whose work comes highly recommended by faculty advisors will also be considered.

 

We are currently accepting proposals on themes from various disciplinary perspectives (ethics, systematics, history, scripture, philosophy, etc.) in the four areas of comparative theology, interreligious dialogue, theology of religions, and missiology. Proposals may be submitted for presenting individual papers or group panels-consisting of the panel's topic, list of presenters, and the papers' themes.

 

To submit a proposal, please email an abstract of no more than 250 words to Timothy Carey at <timothy.j.carey@gmail.com > by December 10, 2012. Please include your contact information, your institution and program, and the category into which you are submitting your proposal (comparative theology, interreligious dialogue, theology of religions, or missiology). Some funds are available for participants to help supplement travel expenses.
