Cause a little bit of summer's what the whole year's about - John Mayer
Summer in Cincy = Summer Festival Season

If there is one thing Cincinnatians (and everyone around Cincinnati) loves, it's summer festivals. The summer festival season is in full swing and EE is running from festival to festival, fair to fair, and outdoor concert to outdoor concert. What better way to enjoy the summer than with great food, games or music outside, and often right in your own neighborhood.

Though summer might not officially start until June 20, we've been in the middle of numerous outdoor festivals since the end of April. This past weekend was no different as our crews spread out between three major events happening in the Greater Cincinnati region - The DCCH Music Festival at the DCCH Center for Children & Families; Summerfair at Coney Island and our fifth Belterra Park After Dark of the season.

Each event looked to us to provide all necessary production to facilitate all of the musical performances. That included staging, audio, lighting, backline, labor, and power - with most of these events relying on EE to fulfill all of those needs.

We're also proud to have helped out with several other noteworthy outdoor events recently:
DCCH's Music Festival took place last weekend.

The Show Must Go On

Just like the old saying goes, the show must always go on - even when bad weather knocks out the power three hours before showtime. We were happy to help Bogarts when that exact scenario happened to them this spring - twice in five weeks. Bad weather blew threw town, causing widespread power outages, including at Bogarts. EE got the call in both scenarios around 4 p.m., and we sprang into action. We were able to orchestrate multiple generators and provide all feeder cabling, distros, grounding cables and rods to get them up and running without delay for 7:00 p.m. doors. For the venue, patrons, and both acts involved - Candlebox and Silver Sun Pickups, the shows didn't disappoint.
What Comes Down, Must Go Back Up

Construction continues to be in full swing both inside and outside of the EE warehouse. Buildings have been knocked down, plumbing has been installed and new walls are going up. With the final product, we'll have new office space, meeting rooms and, of course, and expanded warehouse to store our gear.

Upcoming Events (More Festivals!)

Here are just a few upcoming events that we are proud to be a part of happening across the area.

Thursday, June 9-Sunday, June 12
The 25th annual Italianfest will be taking place at the banks below Newport on the Levee once again this year. The popular festival celebrates all that is Italian heritage, food and music! We'll be on hand providing audio and lighting.

Airheads 30th Birthday Celebration at Smale Park
Saturday, June 18
What better way to celebrate a favorite candy created right here in Greater Cincinnati than a outdoor festival at Smale Park? We'll be there, minus the birthday hats, providing full-production, including stage, sound, labor and backline.

Saturday, June 25
We're proud to help close Cincinnati Pride Week at Saywer Point on Saturday, June 25. The Pride Parade will make its way down to Sawyer Point to kick-off an afternoon and evening of music. We'll be helping out, providing backline and supplemental audio for headliner, Karmin.
