Alumni Masthead
Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad Law CenterJanuary 2013
Evening

Dear Fellow NSU Law Alumni:

As we begin 2013, I look forward to working with the Alumni Board of Directors and Chapter Presidents in Central Florida, Palm Beach, and Tampa Bay to bring programs and events to you that will help you meet fellow alumni and develop new relationships or business opportunities.

We have programs scheduled for our alumni in South Florida, Tampa Bay, Central Florida, and Palm Beach. For those law alumni living outside Florida, I encourage you to attend NSU Alumni activities in your region so you can meet fellow NSU alumni, not only from law, but also from other disciplines. To learn more about upcoming events near you, please continue reading this e-newsletter.

Our annual symposium this year is focused on veterans. On February 1, 2013, we are presenting Wounds of War: Meeting the Needs of Active Duty Military and Veterans with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.  The symposium is interdisciplinary and will explore medical, psychological, social, and legal issues facing our military and veterans with PTSD. The symposium is free to everyone who wishes to attend. The Florida Bar has approved 6.0 CLE hours (general), or credits for mental illness, and some board certified attorneys for this seminar. Members of the Florida Bar who would like to attend and get CLE credits (lunch included in price) can register and pay online. Scroll down to the link for registration and online payment.

Hope to see you around!

Sincerely,

Elena Rose Minicucci, NSU JD, 1996

Legacies
Tell Us Your Stories...
We know there are a number of NSU Law alumni who are related to each other as parent and child. In some cases, they even practice together in the same firm. We think there are interesting stories to tell about creating legacies --- and we would like to help you tell your story. If you graduated from NSU Law and so did your parent or child, we want to hear from you! We are hoping to have enough stories to present a feature article in our Nova Lawyer magazine. If you have a legacy story to tell, please contact Director of Communications, Jennifer Jarema, at jaremaj@nsu.law.nova.edu
