U.S. Secretary of Education, John B. King meets with BSAC 

Savina Tapia and Kalise Osula were two of nine young people who met with Secretary of Education last week at the Dept. of Education to take part in a student voice session to define what a well rounded education looks like.  Savina and Kalise got to share their experiences of being part of BSAC/YOB and BPS and provided insights into what helped them succeed in their public education.

BSAC/YOUNG interviews over 500 BPS Students

On October 19th, BSAC and the YOUNG coalition held its 6th annual Listening Project and surveyed over 300 people and spoke to an additional 200 at 4T stations across the city about their experiences with discipline in BPS.  Look out soon for a complete report on what we learned!
We Won! Question 2 was defeated

Thanks to countless hours of hard work by young people and adults across Massachusetts, we defeated question number 2 on November 8th.  We are grateful to everyone who went door knocking and and made phone calls to ensure public education remains accessible in all of our communities.
