Creating Space for Young People's Feelings about Ferguson
Over 1,400 community members came together in Boston last night to support young black and brown men everywhere

As young people we need a safe space to discuss our own experiences with institutionalized racism and oppression, to brainstorm ways our communities and schools can work together towards justice, and to know adults care about us.
We are proud of how Boston responded to the verdict and want to thank you to all the teachers and youth allies in Boston and beyond who created a space to discuss the issues surrounding Ferguson. For those of you who haven't been able to have this time, we urge you to open your classrooms, families, extracurricular activities, and guidance offices to open, frank, and constructive discussions on the events in Ferguson.
The following are some questions to prompt open and honest discussions with the young people you know:
1. What have you heard about Ferguson and Michael Brown and how are you feeling about it?
2. How do you see racism in the world around you and your life no matter your race or background?
3. What are things we can all do to help stop racism?
Peace and love
