Dear Greetings!
In November 2012, two BSAC alumni staff members; Carlos Rojas and Will Poff-Webster, joined Jason Williams, Executive Director of Stand for Children Massachusetts; Mark Warren, author of A Match on Dry Grass: Community Organizing as a Catalyst for School Reform; and John Affeldt, Attorney of Public Advocates in California to teach a class on the art of social change at Harvard Law School.
The class, taught by HLS professor Elizabeth Bartholet, focuses on partnerships between individuals in the legal profession and community organizers, amongst other constituents, to affect social change. Carlos and Will explored the ways in which BSAC worked in various partnerships to successfully conduct it's campaign- We're the Ones in the Classroom- Ask Us!- which led to mandated state-wide inclusion of student perception data in official educator evaluations for the 2013-2014 school year.

In the same month BSAC alumni staff Carlos Rojas also taught a class to Masters and Ph.D. candidates of Public Policy and Education at the University of Massachusetts, Boston on youth grassroots organizing for education reform and how successful youth organizing can repair and improve American democracy.
