Senior Holistic Living
It's 2013. What's important to you?
Greetings!

As the new year begins it is the perfect time to review what we have accomplished this past year and reaffirm what is important to us this year.

So, what is important to you?

Is it important for you to reevaluate your current commitments?

Is it important for you to rethink about moving your mother into your home?

Is it important for you to set some personal boundaries?

Whatever it is, you are allowed to honor what is important to you.

Yes, sometimes it's not always obvious. For example, just this week after recovering from the flu like the rest of the world, I became agitated and annoyed. I knew something was bothering me, but I could not put my finger on it. So I went to bed earlier than normal and to just let my body and mind rest. Sure enough in the middle of the night, the puzzling question, "what is bothering me?" was answered. I realized that I had not stopped eating unhealthy foods from the holiday-break. I had not taken care of some medical tests that I had postponed prior to the holidays. I had not looked for new eyeglasses since I lost the pair months ago. I just was not making self-care a priority and my inner spirit was letting me know that it's time to stop and take care of these important things in my life.

Today, I made the decision what was important to me. I threw out the candy and replaced it with luscious natural fruit, made the medical appointments and planning to visit the eyeglass store in my neighborhood this Saturday. And I'm feeling so much better.

I hope my little story ignites the spark to ask yourself "What is important to me? If Kim can do it, so can I."

I love when the new year arrives because it does motivate me to explore other areas in my life that I want to improve or enhance. One of them is to produce workshops in the Tampa Bay area for all types of caregivers of all ages.

As a result of my setting this intention, I met a wonderful woman named Dee Dee Lovejoy, who is a healer and aromatherapist. She owns a studio called Quintessence Aromatherapy & Crystal Healing in Tampa where she sells aromatherapy oils, beautiful healing stones and a variety of inspirational cards. We made a nice connection and realized that we had similar goals for this year. We both wanted to conduct workshops for caregivers.

We have created a unique & interactive 5 week series with the purpose to provide tools to help you manifest your own abundance and to connect with your inner power titled, Learn How to Create Your Own Abundance.

What People are Saying

"Congratulations on bringing so many Caregivers to the Hilton at Carillon and making The New Age of Caregiving Symposium a gigantic success. Your wonderful caring and deep concern of others was shining forth. The exhibitors were so excited to be a part of this very special day!

The many hours that you have worked generating this extensive program and your focus on the entire picture of caregiving came together so beautifully.  I know that you are so proud. The sharing of Lee Woodruff of her family experience as a caregiver certainly penetrated the heart. So fortunate to have her with us. Thank you, Kim.

Suncoast Hospice is surely an outstanding community service provided for our clients, loved ones, family members and others.  I personally know that they are available 24/7. You have deep kindness in bringing this together.

Thank you Kim, for The Second Annual New Age of Caregiving Symposium."
