Fall 2013 Futures in Life Science (FILS) Event  

Are you a current graduate student (MBA, MPH, JD, Eng, Ph.D., MD etc), post doctoral fellow, or medical resident, interested in learning about the variety of career paths that exist in the life sciences sector?  Are you looking to learn more about what companies look for when hiring and developing talent for these areas and what growth opportunities exist for individuals who work in this area? This fall, we will focus on the bioinformatics and big data areas, reimbursement, pharmacoeconomics, market access, patient advocacy, finance, legal, and operations career paths. We will have panelists from Novartis, EMD Serono, Merck, Cooley, Proteostasis, and more.  We look forward to the upcoming FILS events.

Boston University School of Medicine Presentation:  Evaluating Transferable Skills

Organized by the Office of Postdoctoral Affairs

Lauren will discuss why it is important to highlight transferable skills on a resume, cover letter, and during an interview, for individuals who have strong technical backgrounds.  She will provide examples for how to highlight organizational, management, presentation, leadership, and other skills that companies find attractive in candidates.
