We are living in a time of transition.  Everything around us is going through change.  It is a season where God is realigning, redefining, and repositioning much of our lives.  We stand on the brink of a major shift.  For some of us that shift will change the whole dynamics of what God wants to do in our lives and what he wants to do within his church.  It is so important that we raise our spiritual antennas and listen very carefully to what the Holy Spirit is about to do. It is not a time to grow slack.  It is a time to shore up what needs strengthening and become fully prepared for what lies ahead.

TURNING POINT
Recognizing What is On the Horizon

"And I appoint unto you a kingdom, as my Father hath appointed unto me."
                                                                                                                         - Luke 22:29

I remember it was back near the end of 2011.  God was teaching me some things that had to do with our being transformed by the renewing of the mind.  I was actually studying the verse in Second Corinthians where Paul said:  "But we all, with open face beholding in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Cor. 3:18).  Those of you who are students of the Word know that this word "changed" is the same word used in Romans twelve where Paul mentions being transformed by the renewing of the mind (Rom. 12:2).  It is the Greek word METAMORPHOO, which means to change into another form.
When we become born again the Word changed us into a new creature.  That work is something the Holy Spirit does on the inside, in our heart.  But then we have the responsibility to do something with our minds.  We have to continue in the Word and allow that Word to change us into another person, both in how we think and how we conduct ourselves. As rich and as powerful as the Word is it cannot and will not change that part of our person unless we give ourselves over to it completely.
If there is one thing I have watched over many years of ministry, it is the fact that folks who sit under the Word Sunday after Sunday, but do not meditate in the Word throughout the week, seldom ever see any real change take place in their lives.  The stronghold of our reasoning faculties is far more entrenched in the way we live than what the Word can do in us if all we do is sit under it once or twice a week.  We have to stay in it just like Solomon admonished us to do when he said: "My son, attend to my Word; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart.  For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh" (Pro. 4:20-22).  In other words, if we want to get the results the Word promises us, then we have to feed on it and soak in it day and night until it has a major impact on our entire disposition.
Well, as it turned out during my study the Holy Spirit began to speak to my heart about something else that involved this word change.  He spoke very clear and told me, "A change is about to take place.  There's some turning that's about to happen and it is going to affect everything, both in the natural and in the spiritual realm."  Well, as you can expect that got my attention, so I perked up to listen to what else he had to say, and he added, "To go with these changes it will be necessary that you are in position to hear what I am saying because some are not going to be in position to hear and the changes I am about to bring will catch them unprepared."
As far as us personally, I started seeing some significant changes begin in 2012, and for the past four years some marvelous things have occurred in repositioning us spiritually for things that lie on the horizon of time.  It has been an amazing journey and I am truly thankful for all he has done.
But God is not done with the changes he promised he was going to bring.  In fact, I think we are about to see phenomenal changes where the Lord is going to shift and move and realign many of us who are willing to be repositioned.  If you are in a place right now where you are sensing something different is going on inside you, then I encourage you to pay real close attention to the Holy Spirit.  This is not a time to get all entangled with things in the natural.  You might even do well to spend some time fasting and praying for what your next step is to be.  I believe with all my heart we can be in the right place at the right time properly positioned for what God is about to do.  God has some kingdom business he is about to conduct and there is a move coming that may catch some unprepared.  I don't want to be among that crowd. If anything, I want to be right dab in the middle of what God is doing when heaven breaks open and major changes come our way.

PRAYER
Father, prepare me for what you have coming.  Help me be in position during this crucial turning point in time.  I ask you to alert me so that I am prepared for whatever change is coming.  Do whatever you have to in realigning, redefining, and repositioning me for what lies ahead.  In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.

CONFESSION
I hear the voice of the good shepherd and I will follow close to everything he is saying to me.  I will not be dull of hearing, but sensitive to hear and obey.  I open up my heart for change, good change that will bring me right into the plan of God for my life.

DEFINING MOMENTS...
If there has ever been a time to listen it is now!  So many things have come as counterfeit changes over the past several years, all promoting the ideas of man and his natural wisdom.  But God is not in all that.  What he is doing is far more removed from the way men think than what we might imagine.  He is looking for those whose heart beats to the rhythm of heaven, who are not afraid to flow with the Holy Spirit and do things out of the ordinary.  Get ready for the shift, and just know what he promised is on its way.  It may even be right before our eyes. Jesus said, "Watch and pray that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit is indeed willing, but the flesh is weak."

So, "Gird up the loins of your minds, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ" (1 Pet. 1:13).

In His Grace,
