One reason why we are assured that the blood of Christ is our first and greatest defense against the enemy is because it was the only thing that satisfied the claims of justice against unrighteousness. Not only was blood the first course of action against sin in the garden, but it was the last thing applied to seal our redemption when Christ arose from the dead. The blood lives today and it is speaking from heaven. All that needs to be fixed in our lives can be turned around when we heed the voice of the blood and let it speak into our situations.

THE VOICE OF VICTORY
The Highest Authority of the Believer

"And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony..."
- Revelation 12:11
When God set up the tabernacle in the wilderness he made provision to deal with the sins of his people. He also made provision for his glory to manifest, and as a result of both, he provided a way for his blessings to come upon a nation and its posterity. All of it was contingent upon a blood sacrifice offered by taking the life of an innocent animal!
Isn't that amazing that God would declare over his people, "If you'll take the blood of this innocent animal and offer it upon the mercy seat that is within the holy of holies, then my glory will come down and the blessings of heaven will pour out on you. Sin will be covered and you will be free to serve me, and I will move on your behalf to put fear into the heart of all your enemies."
When we come over into the New Covenant we discover that the offering of these innocent lambs was a symbol of the true Lamb of God, Jesus Christ, who offered himself for our eternal redemption. John declared: "Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sins of the world" (John 1:29). There is nothing more powerful in removing the guilt and stain of sin than the blood! And, according to Hebrews chapter twelve, it is the blood that speaks from heaven (Heb. 12:24, 25). For it to have a voice means it is ever living! Not only does Christ's blood live to make us clean, but it is alive in raising us up to live in the full blessings of God.
"There is no higher altar to offer a sacrifice...and there is no higher authority than when the Blood begins to speak. "
One of my favorite verses of scripture is found in Hebrew's thirteen. It says, "Now the God of peace that brought again from the dead the Lord Jesus Christ, the great Shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is well-pleasing in his sight through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen" (Heb. 13:20, 21). Think about what this is saying! Christ shed his blood on Calvary where he gave up the ghost and died, and yet, it was that same blood that God used to raise him from the dead. The blood was alive in his death and it was still living three days later when he arose victoriously.
Here is another great truth that we find in this same passage. Paul describes the Lord as the God of Peace. The absence of peace is dis-ease, discomfort, disorder. It is anything that seeks to disrupt your life. The Lord spoke a word through Isaiah, saying: "Behold, I will extend peace to her like a river, and the glory of the Gentiles like a flowing stream..." (Isa. 66:12). Peace is when things in your life have God divine touch upon it where life flows like a river. Nothing is able to confuse you. Nothing is able to subdue you. Nothing is able to disrupt you. You are in the stream of heaven where resurrection power is able to bring you into the fullness of the blessing of God.
There is no higher altar to offer a sacrifice...and there is no higher authority than when the Blood begins to speak. As we turn to observe the work of the Blood we forge a path for victory to touch every area of our life. Nothing can stand against it! No enemy, no foe, can withstand the power of this living substance!
Is there something in your body that needs fixing?
Is there something in your finances that needs to be turned around?
When Paul was dealing with the church at Corinth they had so many issues. They were allowing their flesh to dominate them and they were facing problems where the enemy was keeping them from a life of victory. Paul addressed all of them, and when he got down to the end of all these issues he said: "Now, let's go back to the table." In other words, let's go back to the communion elements of the blood and the bread where your victory lies. Paul knew how to help them fix their problem. He brought them back to the ever-living, ever-strengthening, efficacious Blood of the Lamb!
Whatever area that sin may have come to invade your life, whether it is through transgression or through sickness or disease, remember that the blood is the supreme agent for the remedy of all our ills. We have a power source that can heal our mind, our relationships, our body, our finances, or any area that the enemy has tried to rob us of our peace. The voice of victory is the Blood! And, if we will let it speak for us, then there is no enemy that can stand against us!*

PRAYER
Father, I want to thank you for the precious blood of the Lamb. I put my trust in that blood to speak into every area of my life. I hold up the blood stain banner of the Lord and I put to flight every foul enemy that stands to oppose me. In Jesus' name. Amen!
CONFESSION
I will use my faith today to declare the power of the Blood. All that the enemy seeks to do to bring disease, discomfort, or disorder in my life is bound by the Blood. I put a Blood block against everything that seeks to rob me of my peace. I choose the voice of victory. I choose to honor the precious Blood of Christ!
DEFINING MOMENTS...
The only thing that was sacred enough to enter into the holy of holies was the blood. There is no sin, no sickness, no poverty or disease that can withstand the power in the Blood. If it cannot stand in the full power and glory of God's presence, then it cannot stand in the full application of the Blood! The Blood is enough for every situation. Let it speak on your behalf today!
