Each of us is aware of the fact that we live in a realm bound by time and space. Our life is earthy. In other words, we feel the natural constraints that prevent us from being able to reach beyond our limitations. And yet, Jesus himself said,
"If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth"(Mark 9:23). The "all things" that he is referring to has to do with faith broadening our perception to where we can tap into the influence of heaven and bring to pass unlimited possibilities. By learning how to move in this unseen realm, a realm not governed by time and space, we can actually increase our potential where faith becomes the bridge between time and eternity.
TIME AND ETERNITY
The Power to Live Without Restraint

"For in him we live, and move, and have our being."
                                                                                         - Acts 17:28

There is something about learning how to live by faith that empowers us to connect with heaven. Although we live in this natural world, confined by natural forces, faith provides us with the power of being able to reach out and touch eternity.   Throughout the Bible, we find occasion after occasion where God broke into the realm of man with the influence of heaven and was able to turn the course of history. The very fact that Jesus is the Eternal Word of God and that he came down from heaven clearly indicates that eternity can exist in this realm of time and space.
As a believer, we have eternal life now. Not just when we get to heaven, but right now in this life. The scripture says, "He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life" (1 John 5:12). It goes on to say, "These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God" (1 John 5:13). Eternal life is an actual present tense possession of the believer. The word "eternal" draws attention to the quality of that life and not to its duration as in a temporal sense. What that means to us is that the life of God that exists in the eternal realm has found its way into our hearts through our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. We have what heaven has! We have eternity living in us through the Son!

"We can do whatever God can do not because we are God, but because we are of God."

The more we learn how to connect to this life through the faith of the Son of God the less of a restraint we will experience---a restraint that is constantly seeking to hinder us from living under the influence of heaven. When Jesus said, "They are not of this world, even as I am not of this world" (John 17:16), he was declaring our position on this earth with eternity. Now that we are "in him" we have the ability to live as he lived---to live beyond much of the confines of earthy living.
As new creatures, we need to begin to think more from an eternal point of view. When we hit walls that seemingly appear impossible to man that's when we need to draw from the supply of faith that enables us to tap into that eternal realm where the influence of heaven is accessible.
Everything that we need to live a supernatural life comes as a result of us breaking into that realm and bringing the influence of eternity into our here and now. There are no limitations in the sphere where God lives. Everything within his realm and under his jurisdiction is powered by faith and love. Although we live in this natural, physical world we are true citizens of another kingdom, and the same power that generates heaven is the same power that exists within our new nature. We can do whatever God can do not because we are God, but because we are of God. John said it best when he said: "Ye are of God little children, and greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world" (1 John 4:4). Later on in this same chapter, he writes: "As he is, so are we in this world" (1 John 4:17). If we truly believe that then we should begin to use our faith to draw from that power, an eternal power that can influence both time and space.
Each of us holds in our hand the Word of God, which being eternal means it is not bound by anything, especially time and space (2 Tim. 2:9). In other words, it has the power to live beyond the boundaries of time effecting any and all generations. When we put God's word in our mouth we are taking that which has the power to live without restraint and make an eternal difference. Many of the great leaders of the past still have a voice today although they have long passed off the scene. The truths they spoke came out of the eternal realm and touched the realm of time. What they may have considered to be spoken to their generation broke out beyond its boundaries of time and is still speaking to our hearts today.
By us learning how to communicate our faith through the influence of heaven we can begin to bridge time and eternity together so that we can make an impact on far more than a single generation. Our time on this earth may be determined by days and years, but our influence carries the power of eternity, a power that can enable us to live without restraint touching lives for generations to come.*

PRAYER
Father, today, help me grasp where I am in the scope of eternity. Help me see how deeply I am connected to you through my faith in Christ. I desire to make a difference, so I am asking you today to use me to where I can draw from my heavenly supply to help impact the timeline to my generation and generations to come. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.

CONFESSION
I choose today to be eternal minded. The very life of God is eternal and that eternal life lives in me. Therefore, I will give what is eternal a place in my life so that it can impact this natural realm and bring about eternal results.

DEFINING MOMENTS...
It amazes me how we knowingly live by the Word of God, making it a word that we trust today just as when it was first spoken many generations ago. Without realizing it we have allowed that which is eternal to cross the borders of time and impact us as the living Word for all generations. Since this fact is true, then we need to know that everything the Word has ever been able to do it can still do today! If we are bold enough to believe it, we can draw from that which is eternal and alter the course of our lives and the lives of many, even to generations to come.
