MOMENTS OF MEDITATION

A weekly newsletter of Faith Harvest Ministries            November 23, 2015 Issue 43

God made us into a new creature, which means all that we were passed away and all that we are now is brand new. Yet, there still poses a great gulf between that reality and the one we have lived according to our senses.  We still have the memories of our old self locked up in our mind.  All the inhibitions, the fears, the anxiety's, the weakness, the insecurities, the pride, the vices of our flesh, they all still live in our memories.  And that creates a very difficult challenge in being able to see ourselves the way we ought to see ourselves in Christ.

DETERMINING YOUR REALITY
A LIBERTY TO MOVE BEYOND OUR LIMITATIONS

Whether you realize it or not what you hold as your reality is really what determines your liberty.  What I mean by that is simply this: You are a spirit being who can soar to heights almost unimaginable, but the liberty to rise above the limitations of the flesh all hinges on how deep a revelation you have of the unseen realities of the spirit world.
Everything you see with your natural eyes holds one reality, but becoming aware of the unseen realm holds another reality.  You have the kingdom of God living within you, a kingdom that is very real and holds all kinds of possibilities.  Jesus said, "I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture" (John 10:9).  What does he mean by "going in and out?"   He is talking about our ability to transition out of the natural into the spiritual.  Christ is our door to kingdom realities.
I remember the day I first gave my heart to Jesus.  Suddenly, the world around me seemed so much different. Everything appeared to have changed.  When I looked up in the night sky I didn't just see stars.  I saw an open heaven.  I saw life like I had never seen it before. I felt something new had occurred all around me.  But as I came to realize over time that it wasn't the world that changed. It was me who changed.  God did something in me that made me aware that there was another world that existed within this world.

"The more the kingdom of God becomes your reality the easier it will be for you to move in it!"

Jesus said, "The kingdom of God cometh not with observation: neither shall they say, Lo here! Or lo there! For, behold, the kingdom of God is within you" (Luke 17:20, 21).  The moment our heart is awakened to the things of God that is when we become conscious of another reality.  And that reality needs to become a greater reality than just what we see and feel.
The more the kingdom of God becomes your reality the easier it will be for you to move in it!  God wants you to get so acquainted with the kingdom that you start experiencing a kingdom life.  All the things of God are stored up in this kingdom.  I call it our spiritual locker.  It's like having a storehouse or supply house of things available to you, almost like an arsenal for kingdom living.  Everything you need that pertains to life and godliness is housed in this locker.  However, you will never discover it as long as your reality is bound to just this natural world.  You have to open up your spiritual eyes and see beyond the senses in order to be able to access what is stored up for you.
The scripture says:  "Now we have received not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit which is of God, that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God" (1 Cor. 2:12).  There are things that are freely given to us that are only accessible through the Spirit of God.  He is not only our teacher, but he is our helper.  He helps us with our infirmities (Rom. 8:26).  That means he helps us with our limitations and our inabilities.  What we cannot do in the natural he helps us do supernaturally.  He empowers us to go beyond ourselves so that we can find God's grace to help us in a time of need (Heb. 4:16).
It's time we see heaven's view of what took place in us in the new birth.  We have to realize we are more than what we see.  We are more than just flesh and blood. We are sons of the living God, and God himself has come to live in us as his dwelling place. John said: "Greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world!" (1 John 4:4).  If this is true, and we obviously know it is, then we are more than conquerors through him that loved us (Rom. 8:37). In other words, we are not to be subject to any form of bondage, even the bondage of our own weaknesses and limitations.  That's why God gave us the Holy Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty!*

PRAYER
Father, I just want to thank you for changing my life.  Thank you for the new birth and for making it possible for me to know you and to serve you with my spirit.  Help me today to become even more conscious of the unseen realm. For it is my truest element to live my life for kingdom purposes.  In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.

CONFESSION
I purpose to live in the conscious reality that what exists in God's realm is accessible to me by faith.  Today, I choose to be Spirit-led, Spirit-aware, and Spirit-motivated as I walk out my life by faith in the finished work of Christ.

DEFINING MOMENTS...
There is a greater reality to live than just what we know through our senses.  When we purpose in our heart to live out of that reality then we will find a liberty to move in and out in order to carry out kingdom business.  It's time we acquaint ourselves to things that are in that dimension and discover how to make the connection.
