We want to introduce you to Pastor Joseph Ndege, in Kisii, Kenya. Faith Harvest supports his church and all that he is doing to care for helpless orphans abandoned by HIV parents...The above picture is a milking cow we purchased back in February. You can help us with your gracious giving where we can provide him with another cow. There are so many things we take for granted in life, but for Pastor Joseph providing milk and porridge for the children is keeping many of them alive...

There are so many different applications to faith that it behooves us to discover what they are. So often our focus is centered on the passivity of faith, that silent inner conviction that holds us steady when things around seem chaotic. As important as that is, there are other vital areas where faith is needed, where it takes its territorial rights and reaches out to possess what has been purchased on the cross. When Paul wrote the statement, "...from faith to faith" (Rom. 1:17), he was informing us that faith grows and develops, expanding and incorporating all that Christ accomplished for us in redemption. There is a side of faith that goes beyond just believing where it reaches out to seize the promises of God.

SEIZING FAITH
CLAIMING YOUR INHERITANCE

"What things soever you desire, when you pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them."
Mark 11:24
John wrote and said, "For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcomes the world, even our faith" (1 John 5:4). The elements of faith are so far reaching that we owe it to ourselves to know them. If it is our faith that enables us to overcome the world, then surely faith is more than just believing that Jesus is the Son of God and that God raised him from the dead. This may certainly be the foundational truth we base our faith upon, but our faith must go beyond just laying a foundation. Hebrews chapter six tells us that faith toward God is one of the first principles of the doctrine of Christ, but if you read on it continues with this thought: "but let us go on unto perfection..." (Heb. 6:2). There is a faith we possess that can grow and develop and become perfect faith. Perfect faith (or faith working in its full measure) is when all of its elements are in operation, and nothing is able to stand in its way.
Paul wrote to the church of Thessalonica and said, "We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is meet, because that your faith growth exceedingly, and the charity of every one of you all toward each other aboundeth" (2 Thess. 1:3). That's an awesome thought that their faith was growing exponentially. I think it is consistent with the Word of God to say that their faith was expanding and incorporating new territory, obtaining and apprehending all that Christ had accomplished in his redemptive plan.
The one important truth we need to discover concerning faith is that faith takes hold of the promises of God and refuses to be denied. When Jesus said, "All things are possible to him that believeth..." (Mark 9:23), he was revealing a side to faith that seizes what it needs. Oftentimes, we think of faith as simply believing, but there is also a taking side to faith. When Jesus said, "What things soever you desire, when ye pray, believe that you receive them, and ye shall have them" (Mark 11:24), he meant more than just believing as a principle of faith. He was literally saying, "Claim it, seize it, and apprehend it!" The Greek word for "believe" is LAMBANO. It means to lay hold of, to take; to claim, to procure, to appropriate, to catch, to obtain.
In our passivity of faith we often find ourselves resting in the fact that God can do whatever he wants to do and we are willing to receive whatever he wants to give. But there is no seizing faith in that. It's more docile and unassertive. Seizing faith is aggressive. It's like the woman with the issue of blood who said, "If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole!" (Mark 5:28). There isn't any passivity in that statement, only bold, assertive determination!
The more you understand the various sides to faith the better off you will be. Yes, there is that confident assurance that God is our Father and we hold to his faithful and benevolent care for us, but there is also that side of faith that understands its territorial rights and recognizes its conquering capabilities, enabling us to live a dominion life while seizing all that belongs to us as believers.*

PRAYER
Father, today I choose to rise up in faith and take back what belongs to me! Everything you accomplished for me through Christ, I make use of my faith to lay hold of, to claim, and to seize. You said, "All the promises of God are in him yes, and in him amen, to the glory of God by us" (2 Cor. 1:20). Therefore, I declare them to be true and determine to walk in each and every one of them, In Jesus' name I pray. Amen!

I am a believer and not a doubter! I believe that every word of God is true, and what it declares is mine I now take with seizing faith! I make my decree! Healing is mine. Wholeness is mine! I bind up anything and everything that tries to restrict me, confine me, disable me or hinder me. I believe and therefore I speak! I claim my rights in Christ. Every spiritual, material, financial, physical blessing that has been bought and paid for by the blood of Jesus I draw it to myself by the power of seizing faith!

DEFINING MOMENTS...
The one great truth I love about seizing faith is it is never moved by circumstances. It lives in another dimension and sees only the finished work of Calvary! When symptoms try to show up in my body, I remind them of the stripes Jesus took on the cross that denies them the right to stay. If he bore them, then surely I don't have to. Every provision I need is in redemption! If God put every blessings we need to live a productive, fruitful, overcoming life in our account, then how difficult is it to make a withdraw? It simply requires that we know that we know it belongs to us and make the determination to take it with seizing faith!
Don't let the enemy rob you anymore! State your claim and possess your promises, in Jesus' name!
Pastor David
