"Removing Self-Limiting Beliefs"

Matt. 12:33-37; Matt. 15:13-19

Everything that God does in a person's life begins on the inside and works its way to the outside. That's why Phil. 2:12-13 reads, "Work out your own salvation . . . for it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of His good pleasure." The Wuest translation reads, "carry to its ultimate conclusion your own salvation." This requires our participation and cooperation with God. That's why it's so important to renew our minds to the laws of God's kingdom. By doing so, we create new dominant thoughts that attract things, people and resources accordingly.
The law of motion states that "anything in motion stays in motion unless met by an opposite and equal force." If a rolling ball never met gravity and friction, it would roll forever. There are negative thoughts and traits that have been set in motion in our lives and will continue unless acted upon by an opposing force. Things you want changed don't just disappear automatically. All change for good is intentional. You must target your negative thought patterns and beliefs, identify them and disassociate yourself from them by applying the antidote of new truth.
Another law of physics is "the law of Entropy" which states, "Things left unattended tend towards chaos." People have problems they hope will go away if they ignore them. The truth is, whether it's a child, garden or marriage, left to itself, it will only get worse. Even so, self limiting beliefs in your heart will not disappear by themselves.
Psychologists call these "set points" because once they are lodged in the sub-conscious of a person, they work automatically to make negative beliefs come to pass. Solomon wrote in Prov. 4:23, "Keep thy heart with all diligence, for out of it are the issues of life." Believe it or not, every issue you have flows from the self limiting beliefs in your heart.

Prayer
Father, I desire that every plant that you didn't plant in my heart to be rooted up. I choose to identify every self-limiting belief in my heart and eradicate it by applying new truths of your word, in the name of Jesus!

Greetings!

God has a blessing in store for you. There are things waiting to be distributed to your spiritual walk that will bring you into something new...something beyond where you are at right now in your walk with God. If it seems as if you have hit a place of limitation where you aren't experiencing the river of God, then maybe what you are in need of is a spiritual impartation.

IMPARTATIONS

AN ADDED DIMENSION TO YOUR SPIRITUAL LIFE

"For I long to see you, that I may impart unto you some spiritual gift, to the end ye may be established."

                                                                                       - Rom. 1:11

Impartations are meant to be valuable assets to the progress of our Christian experience. What we gain from them can bring us into new levels of understanding as well as help us step up into new realms concerning our spiritual capabilities. Impartations help assist us in grasping spiritual things. They provide additional empowerment so that we can take hold of what we need to when it comes to growing and developing into the things of God. Probably one of the most recognized areas of impartation is through the anointing. God has provided the power of the Holy Spirit so that by the impartation of the anointing, heavenly things can be added to our lives.

When Paul talked about coming to Rome to visit the saints, his desire to see them was so that he might impart to them some spiritual gift. He told them what his intention for such an impartation was, "...that they might become established." As I have mentioned in our previous letter, this word "spiritual" is PNEUMATIKOS. It has to do with things pertaining to and of the Holy Ghost. There are spiritual gifts that come from the Holy Ghost, which we recognize as the "Nine Gifts or Manifestations of the Spirit." Paul mentions them in his epistle to the church of Corinth (1 Cor. 12:7-11).   But these are not necessarily what he is referring to here in this verse. What Paul is describing are impartations of the Holy Ghost that come to deepen our experience...things necessary in order for us to walk in a higher dimension of life and ministry, far beyond our natural abilities.

I remember a story Brother Hagin told of an experience he had back in 1950, in Rockwall, Texas. He mentioned the first time Jesus came and appeared before him that he touched him in the palms of his hands. He said the moment his finger touched him, it felt like a burning coal of fire. He added that it felt like his hands were on fire for the next three days. In his own words he states, "The thing that was special about this anointing was the added dimension. It's the same anointing, except a different measure." This is very significant, because when you think of it as an "added dimension," you begin to understand that this was a spiritual impartation that enabled him to step up into a new phase or element in his ministry.

I believe there are plateaus we reach in our spiritual life and oftentimes in ministry, where it is not so much a "rut" we find ourselves falling into, but a place where we aren't seeing the increase like we know we desire to have. It almost feels like we are locked into a realm where our experience has reached a limit. This is the very time we should be asking God for an impartation...a spiritual "Pneumatikos" gift of the Holy Ghost. I'm talking about a work of the Spirit that brings us into a new dimension.

Over in the book of Hebrews, Paul brings to our attention an aspect of the ministry of the Holy Ghost that defines exactly what I'm talking about. He said, "God also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost, according to his own will" (Heb. 2:4). The word "gifts" could better be interpreted as a distribution. The actual root Greek word is "MERIZO," which means to impart. What we know about the Holy Spirit is that he is the great facilitator. He knows how to divide and separate spiritual things and distribute them to the body as needed. Just like he separated Paul and Barnabas for the work that he called them to (Acts 13:2-3). However, the key that enables such impartations only comes as we make an earnest effort to have all that he wants for us to have.

God has some impartations that he wants to give you that can only come through your association with the Holy Spirit. The more you stir yourself up in seeking a deeper and more penetrating experience with him, the greater a work he can do in you to lift you out of whatever plateau you find yourself staled out in right now. God can and will bring an added dimension to your walk. It's available, but you have to pursue it!

PRAYER

Father, I come to you in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, and I ask you for a spiritual gift that will help bring me into a new dimension in my walk with you. I believe right now, in Jesus' name that I am stepping up into a fresh experience that will take me to a new level...a new plateau...a greater work of the Spirit both in life and in ministry. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.

CONFESSION

I will have everything that is available to me. I will walk in the fullness of the blessing of the gospel. I will experience more and more of the power and giftings of the Holy Spirit. I refuse to be limited. I refuse to be held to a level that restrains me from reaching the highest and best that God has for my life.

DEFINING MOMENTS...

Impartations should be a normal part of our Christian experience. We should be receiving something new and fresh every day. God can impart things to us through his Word, through the laying on of hands, through prophecy, through our own time of praise and worship. He can even bring about an impartation of heavenly things through anointed clothes. We see that in Acts nineteen, where God wrought special miracles through the hands of Paul. The moments those clothes touched the ones who were sick and oppressed of the devil, immediately the impartation of life and deliverance came into them.

You owe it to yourself to ask God for a spiritual impartation that will bring you into a level of increase in your walk with him. There are greater things to be had that only comes to those who earnestly seek them!
