United Way of Miami-Dade was founded in 1924; it strengthens the community by improving the education, financial stability and health of our residents. We invest in quality programs, advocate for policies that improve lives, and partner with individuals and organizations to find solutions to emerging community issues.  Each year, we offer help and hope to tens of thousands of people. Through our work in education, financial stability and health, we are improving the odds for children and families, today and for generations to come. We are a 501 (c) 3 Florida not-for-profit corporation governed by a 51-member volunteer board of directors. We turn every $1 raised into $2.51 worth of services to the community in Miami-Dade County.
