INDEPENDENCE DAY 2016 
Enjoy 4th of July Festivities on Key Biscayne!

10 AM: Southbound Crandon Blvd closed (traffic rerouted to two-way on east side). 
 
  
11 AM: PARADE begins with a flyover of jets and proceeds from Harbor Dr. south to Westwood Dr. This year's Grand Marshall is Chamber Treasurer and Rotarian Extraordinaire, Robert Brookes.
 
NOON to 5 PM: 4th of July AFTER PARTY presented by The Rotary Club of Key Biscayne. Music, delicious food including Gourmet Rotary Burgers, and bites by Novecento Key Biscayne, Francesco at the Towers, Pikole Handmade Ice Cream, and beverage selection by Lighthouse Cafe.

WHERE: Village Green in covered tents and one VIP Air Conditioned tent Sponsored by Sabadell United Bank
COST: Free admission; food and beverages as priced; VIP tent $5 p.p. suggested donation.

9 PM: FIREWORKS BY GRUCCI 
Best viewed on the beach, the fireworks will be set to music and shot off a barge located near the Key Biscayne Beach Club ... tune into the Music Broadcast on WDNA 88.9 FM or download the "Fireworks by Grucci" app to to hear the music broadcast in perfect synchronization.

Boaters: please be aware that you are not allowed to anchor to watch the fireworks and you must remain at least 500 feet from the barge.
 
Traffic ... need we say more? If you are coming to the parade from off island, get here before 10 AM when 1/2 of Crandon Blvd closes. If you must leave the island after the fireworks, do yourself a favor and visit one of our fine restaurants for a cool drink until the traffic clears.

SEEKING NOMINEES FOR THE KEY BISCAYNE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
 
To qualify:
  • You must be a member of the Chamber for a minimum of one year
  • Show commitment to the community and Chamber.  
As a member of the Board of Directors, you can use your business expertise and relationships to improve the Key Biscayne business community. The mechanics are: attend nine (9) Board Meetings annually (at 7:30 AM), represent the Chamber at Chamber events such as Business Card Exchanges, Seminars and Fundraisers and belong to/or Chair one of the Chamber's Committees.

Join The Key Biscayne Community Foundation for their 4th annual Christmas in July back to school event for the children of our sister city, Liberty City. In partnership with Miami Children's Initiative, they will host hundreds of children and their families for a day of water activities, music, food, and send all children home with school supplies (including a pair of new shoes and uniforms) for the upcoming school year.

The Key Biscayne Fire Rescue Department is offering the American Safety & Health Institute CPR-AED Full 4-Hour Certification Training Course at the KB Fire Station. (CPR-AED: Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation-Automated External Defibrillator). FREE for Village residents.
