OUR NEW 2015 KEY BISCAYNE AND BRICKELL MAP COMING IN MARCH!!

We have ONLY a few spaces left for advertisers in the Key Biscayne and Brickell Map. For 15 years we have been printing and distributing these maps! WE PRINT 75,000 and distribute ALL YEAR LONG! Now is the time to have your business promoted throughout the year and seen by all of our residents and visitors to the area. Visitors always want maps and this is a great way to promote your business. Our new 2015 edition will be published in time for the Miami Open Tennis Tournament: March 23 - April 5th. KEY BISCAYNE'S LIONS CLUB PANCAKE BREAKFAST

The Key Biscayne Lion's Club will host its annual Pancake Breakfast at the Key Biscayne Beach Club this saturday on February 21st, 2015.. Tickets $8.00 for adults and $5.00 for children, will be available at the door. The breakfast will be held from 7:30-11:30 am.

VILLAGE OF KEY BISCAYNE HOSTING FREE BOATING SAFETY COURSE

As a public service for the local community, the Monica Burguera Foundation partners with the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary, the largest volunteer marine safety organization in the world, to offer free boating safety classes throughout the year. The $25 registration fee is paid by the Foundation.

A class will be offered in the Community Center's Island Room on Saturday, February 21, 2015 from 8:30 am - 4:30 pm. Space is limited and pre-registration is required at the Community Center Front Desk.

BRAZILIAN CARNIVAL EXTRAVAGANZA POSTPONED

Due to the inclement weather forecast for this Sunday, February 22nd, the Brazilian Carnival Extravaganza that was to be held at the Monaco Pools along West McIntyre Street near the Fire Station will be rescheduled.

MERCY HOSPITAL PRESENTS: DANCE TO THE RHYTHM OF YOUR HEART

Calling all girls to leave your busy schedules behind, take yourself on a date and have a GREAT time! Make your heart your Valentine, have fun and stay healthy.Mix and mingle with "heart care" professionals while enjoying complimentary appetizers by the fountain flowing with chocolate. MEET THE ARTIST KIRSTEN HINES

Kirsten Hines is a writer, photographer and environmental educator focused on conservation. She has won photography awards at National Geographic and Green Cay Nature Center. She has worked at the Biscayne Nature Center as a Naturalist and traveled the globe studying and photographing wildlife. Hines will be exhibiting her beautiful color photographs of native South Florida flora and fauna at the Biscayne Nature Center from March 1, 2015 through April 26, 2015. You can have a meet and greet with Kirsten on March 1, 2015 from 3:00-5:00 pm at the Nature Center.$7.00 county parking fee.

ISLANDER NEWS-MIAMI OPEN SPECIAL EDITIONS

The Islander News will be running a special edition in recognition of the Miami Open.The special edition will be inserted into the regular edition of The Islander News. In addition to their regular subscribers and requested copies to local hotels, restaurants and professional services, will be distributing as addition. 5,000 copies will be available for tourist targeted locations off the island from Coconut Grove to Miami Beach. All advertisements must run in both Special Editions and must be in color.The prices below are for two ads for the two editions ( Thursday March 26, and Thursday, April 2nd )
