 Financial Mastery: Business Coaching 

Action Coach is presenting its 3rd Session, Financial Mastery. In this session you will learn to understand the numbers in your business, and  how to understand your financial reports and use the numbers to make decisions. Hold the date: Village Council Candidate Debate

Village Council Candidates will be able to make their points and arguments on October 23, 2014 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm in the Village Council Chambers . The event will be moderated by Merwin Sigal from  Miami Dade College. Questions will be accepted from the audience the night of the forum. Key Biscayne Lion's Club Oktoberfest
Join the Key Biscayne Lions Club for their annual Oktoberfest. The event will be held on Friday, October 3rd, 2014 in the Key Biscayne Beach Club, from 7:30 pm-Midnight. Tickets available at the door, Adults will be charged $25.00 and children ages 5-12 $5.00. The Monica Burguera Foundation will be hosting a boating safety course at The Key Biscayne Community Center on Saturday, Oct 4th, 2014, from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. The Chief Press Charitable Foundation and the Key Biscayne Community Foundation invite you to the 2nd annual fundraiser, to benefit the children of Liberty City. The event will be held at The Fairway Restaurant Crandon Golf Course, on October 10, 2014, from 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm. Hors d'oeuvres and cocktails will be served, There will also be a perfomance by the Miami Choral Academy, as well as a silent auction. A $75 dollar donation is suggested. On Tuesday, November 4, Key Biscayne residents will go to the polls to elect, among other races, three new Council members from six candidates.
To help our readers make educated voting decisions, The Islander News will publish a 2014 Special Election Edition with information on the candidates, how they feel about the issues and mini-endorsements from Key Biscayne residents.
So we can reach more potential voters, we will increase our circulation for that edition to 6,000.
