Boating Safety Course @ Mercy Hospital

The Monica Burguera Foundation will be hosting a boating safety course at Mercy Hospital on Saturday, Sept. 13th, 2014, from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. The course will be held on the 6th floor

FREE Art & Nature Environmental Art Workshops

The Village's Art in Public Places Board invites the public to explore different aspects of the island with environmentally-focused artist Prudence Gill during three workshops on September 13th 8:00 am - 12:00 pm at the Beach Park and, Sept. 20th and 27th 10:00am -2:00pm at the community center. Preregistration is required; call the Community Center at (305) 365-8900.


                                                                     

Student Community Service


The KB Animal Welfare Fund is looking for volunteers who can spare 1 to 2 hours and show kittens that are up for adoption. Food, crates, litter, chairs, poster boards, paper work, toys, etc will all be supplied. We just need warm kitty loving bodies to volunteer.The kittens will be shown this weekend, Sept 13 & 14, in front of the Winn Dixie from 11:00am - 5:00pm. "Sunpass Only" Begins 9/23  on Rickenbacker Causeway
 
Starting Tuesday evening, September 23, 2014, all tolls on the Rickenbacker Causeway and Venetian Causeway will be collected electronically. Use your SunPass transponder to enjoy a smoother ride.
