FRIDAY

Relay for Life

Join the American Cancer Society and Relay for Life community partners for a Mardi Gras themed, fun-filled night on the Village Green. Organized, overnight community fundraising. There will be lots of food, games, music and activities for all!

The event begins on Friday at 6:00 PM and ends on Saturday at 12:00 NOON.

Spectacular Plant Sale at Relay for Life

For well over a decade, it has been an annual tradition that Coldwell Banker sells home and garden plants at their tent in which all proceeds go toward cancer research. You can choose your lovely new plants from 2:00pm-10:00pm Friday and 8:00am-11:00am on Saturday. For any questions, call 305.361.5722

Village Electronics Recycling and Paper Shredding

When:April 26 from 8:30am-1:30pm

What: Confidential paper shredding .Shred-it's trucks contain cutting-edge proprietary paper shredding technology that safely process business or personal papers into confetti-sized pieces before being recycled, and

Electronics Recycling.

These items can be recycled:

Computers and peripherals
Televisions (glass-bearing)
Media players:
Other electronics: Copiers, fax machines, telecommunication systems
Land phones, cell phones, PDAs and chargers
Mercury-bearing devices and batteries:

Fluorescent, Neon & UV lamps, ballasts, capacitors
Batteries-not to exceed 10 pounds

Unacceptable items include:

White goods; i.e., electrical kitchen equipment, ranges, washers, dryers, dishwashers
Household electrical equipment; i.e., irons, toasters, microwaves, hair dryers
Tools

Wood console TVs and projector TVs

The Biscayne Bay Cleanup Day event will take place this Saturday, April 26th along the Rickenbacker Causeway. Many volunteers will be cleaning in 4 locations.

Annual Pasta Dinner for the Eileen McCaughan Memorial Scholarship Fund is this Sunday, April 27th from 6-8 pm. They have given out over $250,000 in scholarship money in the past 23 years. You can help ensure it continues for another 23 by attending, donating and enjoying delicious pasta, salad and homemade desserts. Bring your families and friends to the Fairways on the Key at the Crandon Park Golf Course. You can purchase tickets at the door.
