P2P Volunteer Helping Parent of the Month: Paula (Zamudio) Wind from Lewis County!

Thank you to Paula for her many years of involvement with Parent to Parent and in helping the Family Support Network (FSN), SPARC, and People First in Lewis County. Paula's assistance has varied from parent support, Parent to Parent trainings, sharing resources, connecting families, legislation, teaching others how to advocate for themselves, and much more.

Recently Paula has been involved in helping at the SPARC center in Lewis County. The program provides social and recreational events that increase self-esteem, better health, and public awareness of people with disabilities. Events have included bingo, outings at Mt. St. Helens, and Rainier's Games.

Paula is a great asset to those in Lewis County, and is willing to share her knowledge and experience with others in the helping field.

Paula: Way to Go!!! Thank You.

Hope you are all staying a "little bit" cool. Wow, what weather we are having.

Winning the Women's World Cup in soccer and these beautiful sunny days in Seattle- such a nice July so far.

Want to say so long and a big Thank You to Teri Hough from Walla Walla who is retiring to hang out at her lake place with her grandchildren. She has been a Parent to Parent champion for many years and we will miss her.  Also good-bye and thanks to Cathy Murahashi and a hello and welcome to Rachel Nemhauser and Marilyn Cooks at P2P King County!
