"The art of living lies in a fine mingling of letting go and holding on."

- Havelock Ellis

Hi there,

Many of you will not understand the importance of this saying until you are like me, and have your children moving out of your home and living their lives. I go back and forth from being excited and proud of them-independent and happy and

a little sad that I don't get to see them as often as I would like. Even Alexa is liking her independence from us. Oh well, "that's life" and as it should be.

Have a good February. Keep those letters, phone calls and emails coming to your Legislators. I will forward a one pager that the DDC and the Arc are using when talking to people for you to use.

Susan

LOVE IS THE MOST POWERFUL THING ON THE PLANET.

Love is in a baby's first smile.
In a grandmother's comforting touch.
And in all the wonderful moments in between.

Love rearranges our priorities.
It makes us want to give, expecting nothing in return.

Love is the reason you care.

For the tiny and the fragile.
For the wise and irreplaceable.

For all the things in your life that make life worth living.
