Dear Friends of Pacific Yoga,
 | |
Eastern Washington training starts May 2013
| We are pleased to announce the expansion of our program into Eastern Washington! Beginning in May 2013, we will conduct a 200-hour teacher training program at our affiliate studio, The Yoga Community, in Kennewick, WA. For many years students have trekked over the Cascades to attend our program, and now we are coming their way.
To assist in our expansion, we have added a new staff member. Welcome Joanna Dunn, RYT-500 to our Pacific Yoga staff! Joanna will teach the anatomy, history, and business sections in our Kennewick program. The program will be of the same depth and quality we're known for. Theresa and Kathryn will teach asana and philosphy/pranayama, and we hope to draw a wide variety of students from the Tri-Cities area of Washington. Please share our good news with anyone you think might have an interest.

Restore, Breathe, and Meditate A Two-Part Series with Kathryn Payne
Thursdays, November 29 & December 6 6:15pm - 7:30pm At Island Yoga Center, Vashon Island
Yoga is a tool for reducing stress and bringing the mind to a point of clarity. The three practices of restorative yoga, pranayama, and meditation address stress and tension in our body and psyche by stimulating oxytocin and awakening the parasympathetic nervous system (PNS). These two classes are plunked right in the middle of two holiday periods that can create anxiety. Take a breather and see what a difference it makes! All levels welcome, including those who are new to yoga.
