Membership Director (email)

We wish to welcome three new members to our council.  All three joined the Catholic Church at the Easter Vigil in the respective parishes this spring.

Troy Malone is a teacher in the North Kansas City school district.  Greg Williams is a KCPD officer.  Troy and Greg are from St. Charles.  Pat Tunnell is an aircraft mechanic and he hails from St. Gabriels.

Sam Angelo reports that there are two other fellows from St. Gabriels ready to join but they were not available for the May degree.  So we will be having a 1st Degree on July 1st.

We have now been operating at Finnigans for a month.  As with any move there have been some things that need to be ironed out but these are becoming fewer and fewer.

The State of Missouri will be conducting an audit of our quarterly report.  This is a normal audit that is conducted approximately every two years.  The State folks also wanted to see our now locale.

We encourage Ladies Auxiliary members to help out at bingo.  We will be experimenting with how the Ladies will receive recompense.  We believe a donation from us as long as it goes to their charitable works would be in order.  The details are still being hammered out.

However,  I do need to submit any workers name to the state for background checks.  (We can't have any organized crime bosses selling pull tabs you know.)
This involves submitting a social security number for all new workers.

I don't want to have someone send me an email with SSN data so I will ask that any lady who may want to work to please send me your information in the US Mail.  The other option is for the Ladies to meet and send a list of workers with their SSNs.

Don't forget that there are some spouses out there who would probably work bingo if asked.  It should pretty simple to make them a member of the auxiliary.

Send to any new worker info to:

The Value of Life Insurance for Children

As a father, you worry about your children and do everything you can to protect them. You try to raise them right and make sure they are prepared to become adults. But have you ever thought about buying life insurance for your child?

When you insure a child, you are protecting his or her future. Did you know that one out of every six adults get rated, postponed, or denied for insurance coverage? If you purchase a policy for your child from the Knights of Columbus with a guaranteed purchase option, it guarantees that more insurance can be purchased for that child without proving insurability.

Unfortunately, as fathers we don't have a crystal ball, and we don't know what the future may have in store for our children's health. But did you know that right now you can purchase a child's policy, in many cases, for less than $10 a month?

I've heard it said that people don't want to "profit" from the death of a child, so they won't purchase coverage on their children. God forbid something tragic happens, those funds can come in handy at a time when finances will be the last thing on a parent's mind. I have never heard a story about someone who regretted buying coverage on their child.

Contact me today to discuss the many policy options for child plans, including 10- and 20-Pay life insurance.

We are arming the alarm system in the hall on a regular basis.  The garages are not being armed yet but we are meeting with the vendor to get things set up.

Hall rentals are very strong for 2014.  Now is the busy time as well as the fall.  Please check the calendar before making plans to use the hall.

Please note always refer to the calendar on our website that appears on the right hand side.  There is an Event Calendar on the site too but that does not have rental information on it.
