Tip of the Week for September 17th, 2012

Improve Concentration and Focus with a Relaxation Station
or Concentration Station

Now that school is back in session, your child may come home with work to complete or chores to do. After the long day of hard work, the focus needed for these activities might be a challenge, which can lead to battles and melt-downs. Creating a relaxation station in your home can give your child a space to minimize sensory overload and help him to calm down in a peaceful environment. When a body is able to filter out irrelevant stimuli he can be more productive. Taking the time to help your child relax will save time in the long, as he will come back ready to be productive.
