Tip of the Week for August 27th, 2012

Plan, Plan, Plan

Whether it's planning for an early bedtime, or planning tomorrow's lunch - the

morning routine is made easier by thinking ahead. Lay out clothes, check backpacks,
even put toothpaste on the toothbrush - the more you simplify their routine, the
smoother it will go!

Book of the Week:
Everyday Solutions : A Practical Guide for Families of Children with Autism Spectrum Disorders/ Mindy Small, Lisa Kontente. Autism Asperger Pub., 2003. This book has a chapter on the daily routine that may be very helpful. This book is in the SESA Library in Anchorage (we're so sorry, but the Fairbanks branch is closed due to budget constraints). You may search the library catalog via the SESA website or contact Anne directly by email at afreitag@sesa.org, or by phone at 907-334-1301.
