Tip of the Week for April 9th, 2012
This Week's Tip: To help students with HFA and AS to self-regulate, provide them a model of your own thought processes by literally speaking your own internal dialogue, or "brain-voice" out loud. Then ask the student specific questions-to help them develop Theory of Mind (ToM). Special Event: Saturday, April 14th, from 11 am to 6 pm, is the AARC book fair at the Fairbanks Barnes & Noble. We will have entertainment, an information table, face-painting and temporary tattoos at the store during those times. Please come buy and say hello, and participate in the activities. If you buy anything, mention that you support the bookfair, and a percentage of your purchase will be donated to the AARC by Barnes & Noble. The funds raised will be used to buy books that will be donated to libraries around the state. You can also buy a book from the wish list cart, and donate it to the SESA Library, so it can be shared with library patrons around the state. Performers who are scheduled to appear: Daniel Hughes.
