Remedy of the month

Sweet Chestnut

For those moments which happen to some people when the anguish is so great as to seem to be unbearable. When the mind or body feels as if it had borne to the uttermost limit of its endurance, and that now it must give way. When it seems there is nothing but destruction and annihilation left to face.

Bach Flowers for plants...

When I mention to people that the Bach Flowers can be used for plants, they are often surprised.

Bach Flowers for plants requires a lot of guesswork and if the wrong remedy/remedies are chosen they will do no harm.  Rescue Remedy is a good choice when in doubt of which remedies to use. Simply place 10 drops in a watering can or a few drops to a vase of cut flowers.

Below are some common situations that the suggested remedies may prove useful.

DEHYDRATION

Oak to support the struggle

Olive to give energy

Rock Rose or Mimulus for fear of death

Wild Rose for resignation

Willow for self-pity

FAILURE TO THRIVE

Clematis to bring the plant to the present

Gentian to give encouragement

Gorse to give hope and the will to live

Hornbeam to get the plant started

Wild Rose to remove apathy

Wild Oat to give a sense of purpose

FLOWERS AND FRUIT, LACK OF

Centaury to allow the plant to stand up to pests etc

Crab Apple to promote self-acceptance by the plant

Gentian to give encouragement

Hornbeam to provide the energy needed to get started

Olive if the plant is exhausted after years of flowering or fruiting

PESTS, FUNGUS, ROT ETC.

Agrimony for feelings of torture

Centuary to help stand up to the infestation

Crab Apple as a cleanser

Star of Bethlehem for shock

PHYSICAL DAMAGE

Rescue Cream as a salve

Star of Bethlehem for shock

Try watering the remedies into the new hole before you put the plant in
