Bach Flowers - a further understanding
From time to time the Bach Centre give out some interesting and informative information about the remedies on their facebook page. Here are a couple of their entries.
When can we stop taking a particular remedy?
Some people keep taking a mix "in case the feelings come back", but that's of doubtful use. If we no longer feel a negative emotion the remedies we take for it have nothing to do, and do nothing.
Dr Bach's advice was to always deal with what we feel now, today, and forget about what was in the past and what may happen in the future. So if we don't feel a negative feeling today, we don't need to take the remedy.
Interestingly many people using treatment bottles simply forget to take the drops when they no longer need them. Their minds seem to make up their minds for them - but the decision isn't always conscious!
Is it possible to apply the emergency cream on pulse points and behind the ears as a way to deal with emotional imbalances?
We have two answers, a short answer and a longer one.
The short answer: yes, the cream could be helpful used like this.
The longer answer: it could help, yes, but just like taking the liquid emergency mix for every imbalance, it's a short-term response that won't always be effective.
If we have a particular imbalance the best solution is always to take a personal mix. So if we didn't want to take the remedies by mouth for some reason but we have identified which remedies we need, it would be better to use treatment bottle drops on pulse points rather than rely always on the more general cream.
