Programs for Children
Come Fly With Me
Wednesday, July 8th, 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm
Create a collaged paper-stick puppet inspired by reading selections from Thirteen ways of looking at a blackbird by Wallace Stevens.TAKE HOME KITS with poems and puppet-making supplies will be given to all participants. Brought to us by the Art School of Columbia County*. (For grades 1-2)

Creative Writing Workshop: Monday thru Friday, July 20, 21, 22, 23, 24; Reading July 24, 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm  

Local author and Chatham High School graduate, Chloe Caldwell, will be leading this creative writing workshop. Participants will have an opportunity to explore fiction, non-fiction and poetry. Students will leave with new writing skills, knowledge of new authors and a much greater confidence in their writing abilities. For Tweens & Teens.

The Chatham Public Library is seeking new program ideas from our community. If you have suggestions for new workshops or events, please send them to chathampubliclibrary@chatham.k12.ny.us We are especially interested in receiving suggestions from those who are also willing to organize and/or facilitate a new program, but all ideas are welcome.

 

Memoir Writing

Tuesday, 10:00 am - 12:00 pm.;

Mah Jongg
