2. 111 UM Pastors Sign Letter to General Conference

The General Conference of The United Methodist Church is the denomination's official decision-making body, which meets once every four years. General Conference is being held this year in Portland, OR. On the eve of the Conference's start. 111 United Methodist clergy and clergy candidates signed a "Love Letter to the Church," coming out as openly gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning, or intersex.

Pastor Kelly was one of the signers on this letter, along with the Rev. Kristin Stoneking, Executive Director of the Fellowship of Reconciliation, also a UM clergywoman living in Davis, affiliated with DUMC and known to many of us.

In her sermon on May 15th, Pastor Kelly expressed gratitude for the strong support of this congregation.
3. Grocery Bag Ministry

The Youth Ministry is starting up a new Grocery Bag Ministry! As a way to provide the adult congregation a means to be more involved with the Youth Ministry, we are asking for volunteers to bring groceries for the dinner the Youth members make before bible study.
Please sign up using the link provided below.
