1.
Bible Presentation, THIS SUNDAY
| This Sunday, February 21st, we will present a few of our older children with their own Bibles during the second service. This is one of the many ways we keep our promise at their baptisms to share the good news of Jesus Christ. Did you receive a Bible when you were young and/or do you have a Bible that was meaningfully given to you? Come and be a part of this worship celebration.

2. Youth Group This Sunday!
We will meet from 6-8 in the Grace Cafe (entrance on the south side of the education building). We'll start our Lenten series of sharing faith stories and first up is our very own Ji-Hyun Song! Our new youth programs coordinator will share how she found her way from the Korean church of her father to Davis UMC. In honor of Ji (an animal science major at UCD!), we'll barbecue hamburgers, with plenty of veggie burgers for those who don't eat meat. Feel free to bring a friend!

3. God Talk At Home: A Lenten Series
3:30 to 5:30 Sunday, February 21st and continuing through March 20th in the Walker Room
Do you have children or teens in your life that you want to be able to talk more comfortably with about God and matters of faith? This will be an opportunity to do some in-class reading and discussion of some of the challenges, tools, and pathways for God talk at home or in the car or while on a hike or whenever the moment is right. No matter your comfort level, Pastor Kelly will create a safe space for all to share and support one another as each one finds their way way forward. Child care will be provided.

Please Note: YIIN does not endorse candidates. Mr. Saylor has chosen YIIN this year (in past years his Soup's On! event has honored the food bank other organizations). We are delighted to be this year's recipient of the proceeds from this zany, tasty event. --Because of the event, YIIN is NOT having its own spring dinner. We are hopeful that those who have supported us in the past will support Soup's On! and will then join us next year for our usual dinner.

1. Pathway Envisioning Meeting Sign-ups
This is our church. And this is an invitation for you to shape your church moving forward! The Pathway process has been on-going for some time now and is ready to move to an exciting new stage: that of developing exciting, bold plans for our future together. This is especially appropriate with the impending transition to a new pastor in July.
Stemming from the 116 interviews with DUMC participants we have identified three areas that energize us, that provoke our passions, that we value most. They are: - Worship
- Service and Justice
- Small groups
We are now creating three working groups--one for each of these identified areas.
YOU are invited to be part of a one-time gathering to develop a bold vision for the area - or areas - you feel most passionate about. Signing up for this stage of the process means signing up for the visioning. What do we most want to do or accomplish in each area? Can we find a spirit-filled direction that will capture the passion and energy of DUMC participants? How can we best serve God and our community through these areas in the months ahead?
After the development of these bold visions, the next step will be to create concrete plans for implementation. We hope people will join in the planning and implementation process as well! But now we are simply asking for involvement in this first step. If you sign up for this stage we will work with you to schedule this event conveniently. You can sign up following either service this Sunday (February 21st) or the next (Feb 28th).
Let us work together to move DUMC into a bright, God filled future.
