This Sunday, November 29th
Worship at 8:30 and 11:00 am
This Sunday is the first Sunday of Advent. In Advent, we anticipate the arrival of the one who is to be born. But what if...we broaden our focus beyond One who is born, to everyone born? Our Advent hymn this year paints a picture of God's vision "for everyone born." We hear this week from the prophet Jeremiah - words Christians later came to believe foretold the coming of Christ. Jeremiah says that God will "raise up a righteous branch from David's line, who will do what is just and right in the land." (Jer. 33:15) But what if we too are the/a branch from David's line, called to do what is just and right?
