This Sunday, November 8th
|
Worship at 8:30 and 11:00 am
Preaching: Rev. Kelly Love
Sermon Title: "Another Paradox of Faith"
The images/conceptions of God in today's scriptures are so personal. From Revelations we have "the home of God is among mortals," and "God himself will be with them...will wipe every tear from their eyes." Then, in the story of Lazarus, we have the incarnate, embodied Jesus, weeping with compassion at his friends' grief. But for a God who is so close, God can sometimes seem rather uninvolved. How do we reconcile these things?
