This Sunday, September 6th
Worship at 8:30 and 11:00 am
How is your faith connected to your work life? Sunday's sermon features two people from the congregation speaking to that very question, in what has become an annual tradition at DUMC. If you ever question whether faith makes a difference when we leave church and go out into the world, Sunday's service will surely encourage you! The scripture readings are Isaiah 55:1-3 and James 2:14-18.

Announcements
1. New
Contemporary Issues Forum Coordinator Needed

The Contemporary Issues Forum meets each week between services (from 9:45 to 10:45).  The current coordinator, Susan Padgett, will be stepping down and we are looking for someone who would be interested in taking her place.

The format of the forum is flexible.  It can include speakers, films, conversations, book studies, etc.  Forum is part of the Church and Society ministry of DUMC.  If you are interested in coordinating or interested in facilitating a conversation on a particular topic, please contact Susan at sdpadgett@sbcglobal.net or Paul Grench at PaulGrench@aol.com.

2. Video of Youth Mission Trip Service

The recent service by the DUMC youth has been posted in the "Past Sermons" section of the church website.  Not limited to only the audio of the sermon, this is a video of the entire service showing the slides with the audio.  It can also be viewed directly at the following link:

3.
Monthly Small Group Senior Luncheons

Atria/Covell Gardens has offered to provide a monthly luncheon for small groups (10 to 12 people) of DUMC seniors. The lunch, provided in a pleasant private dining room, offers an opportunity for relaxing conversation and friendship. The DUMC Congregational Care Ministry is looking for a volunteer to help coordinate the monthly luncheon, which would involve contacting/confirming a group of interested seniors and working with the transportation ministry to ensure that any necessary rides are set up. The first luncheon, which was held in July, was quite successful, with Atria providing the space, the food, and all service and DUMC providing the fellowship. Please contact Anna Wisehart  in the church office if you are interested in helping to coordinate this wonderful fellowship.
