Email Updates

Thank you for your interest in Atlanta's Affordable Housing Preservation Challenge (ATL Challenge). Since the November 3 launch event, we have posted a number of updates and resources to the  ATL Challenge website. In particular, we would like to highlight the following deadlines and news items:
  • As a reminder, responses to the  ATL Challenge Request for Ideas (RFI) are due by January 6, 2017. Up to three finalists will be selected from respondents to receive up to $10,000 to further develop their concept and compete for the $70,000 implementation award. Please note that finalists will be expected to give a brief presentation of their concept at the January 26 ATL Challenge event (more details below)
  • On November 17, the ATL Challenge organizers held a Live Online Event outlining the competition goals and structure, and providing additional information on the RFI. An archived recording of this webinar has been posted to the ATL Challenge website.
  • The ATL Challenge is open to both individual organizations and partnerships between different organizations that may have complementary expertise and capacity. The ATL Challenge website can serve as a forum for engaging in discussion about innovative ideas and identifying potential partners.  To participate in this discussion,  submit a comment to our partnership coordination post.
  • Have a question about the RFI or the ATL Challenge more generally? Submit it to our Question and Answer forum by December 19 and we will post a response as soon as possible.
  • Finally,  Save-the-Date for Thursday, January 26 from 9 - 11 am for the announcement of the ATL Challenge finalists. The event will feature presentations on the region's preservation needs, an overview of the finalists' and other submitted proposals, and an opportunity to offer interact and offer feedback to both the finalists and organizers. This event will be an opportunity to influence these proposals to ensure that they will have a maximum impact on meeting the Atlanta region's preservation needs.
