What to say when you're asked for 'salary requirements'
There are four key points to keep in mind when discussing salary requirements with potential employers.

Interview Questions for the Employer
Contrary to what many people might think, interviews aren't all about hiring managers grilling candidates with interview questions. It is also your responsibility and opportunity to ask the hiring team questions that help you determine whether a job is the right fit for you or not.

So remember to create a list before your next interview, in the mean time here are a few questions you can ask that can help you get started.

1. What are the traits of people who really succeed at this company / on this team / in this role?"

2. What are the skills and experiences you're looking for in an ideal candidate?

3. Where do you see this company in the next few years?

4. How would you describe the work environment here-is the work typically collaborative or more independent?

5. Are there opportunities for advancement or professional development?

6. What would you say are some of the biggest challenges you face here?

7. What's your favorite part about working here? (This would be a direct question for the interviewer)

8. What are the next steps in the interview process?
Did you buy a home in 2015?
If you bought your home in 2015, the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) has tax credits and a program that may help you save money.

New Resource for Internationally Educated Teachers
Can I Teach in Ontario?

The Ontario College of Teachers have recently introduced an applicant eligibility assessment tool for internationally educated teachers. This assessment tool will help internationally educated teachers interested in applying for a license to teach in an Ontario public school determine how likely they are to meet certification requirements.
