We are pleased to welcome two new staff members to the Lighthouse team. Candice Edye and Dejan Andrevski. With more than twenty years professional experience in marketing, public relations and small business management, Candice has helped market start-up businesses, online businesses, not-for-profits, membership organisations, government programs and everything in between. Candice has a strong interest in entrepreneurship and business innovation, growing up in a family business and starting her first business straight out of university. Her experience with marketing entrepreneurs has seen her involved in designing and executing campaigns to launch start-ups, position CEOs as thought-leaders, increase market share for established businesses and raise the profile of the Australian family business sector. Dejan has a long standing passion for entrepreneurship and start-up ventures. He has founded and exited out of several ventures of his own spanning industries such as sports supplements, gift products, and graphic design. He is currently engaged in a venture looking to change the way people consume D.I.Y. products and services. This passion has also seen him dedicate time to many start-up initiatives in Canberra through facilitating workshops and mentoring new venture teams. Dejan's focus is to help start-ups with their product and customer development. He looks forward to hearing from, and working with, enthusiastic entrepreneurs who are looking to take their ideas from concept to commercialisation. Lighthouse has decided to do its bit to celebrate the Centenary of Canberra. Together with key players, Lighthouse will develop a program of events highlighting the entrepreneurial and creative nature of this city. One of Lighthouse's own key Centenary offerings is the planned launch of a Fashion Hub in partnership with the Canberra Centre. This exciting initiative gives Canberra's fashion designers a space to sell their designs and access to mentoring from some of Australia's leading fashion brands. Expressions of Interest in participating in this initiative close soon. To keep up to date with other proposed Centenary activities click here.
