Introducing Brilliant Idea

The eighth Loan Funding Round for Brilliant Idea, the ACT Women's Microcredit Program managed and delivered by Lighthouse, opens with an orientation session on 13 December 2012 from 11am-1pm at Lighthouse, 6/65 Tennant Street, Fyshwick. A light lunch will follow, to which Brilliant Idea graduates and loan recipients will be invited. If you are interested in the program, please register to attend or give us a call to discuss.
This free session is designed to help entrepreneurial women determine whether it's the right time to participate in the program and/or apply for a loan. The session includes a brief overview of microcredit, program eligibility and how Brilliant Idea can help women on low incomes develop or expand a business idea through no-interest loans, mentoring and peer support. There will be ample time for your questions and answers. A few changes have been made with the goal of improving the program and outcomes for women participating in the program. Loan applicants now have the opportunity to pitch ideas and their loan proposal after an application is submitted. Applications will be due in February next year and consultations are required before submitting.
