The Capital Angels are holding a dinner meeting on 8 November. This meeting is an opportunity to network and to hear up-and-coming businesses pitch for funding. Pitching during this meeting are OzStar Therapeutics, Arithmetika and Yepgot. Click here for more information.

We are proud to announce that Lighthouse was awarded a grant from the ACT Government through the Office for Ageing to deliver a new ACT Senior Mentors Program called Leading Lights. The project will be a vehicle for experienced entrepreneurial 'seniors' to share their skills and experiences with existing and aspiring entrepreneurs of all ages.

A loan funding round for the ACT Women's Micro-credit Program through Brilliant Idea is now open with applications due by 12 November. A few changes have been made with the goal of improving the program and outcomes for participants. Loan applicants now have the opportunity to pitch ideas to a panel including Lighthouse staff. Before the closing date, there will be another Orientation Session on 30 October at the Women's Information and Referral Centre in Civic. See below for more information.
