Week 14 Quality Report



Since 2009, White Horse Laboratories has been publishing our Weekly Quality Reports, which is a listing of the devices that have had over 5% lot failure in electrical testing or the buyer has rejected the lot following results of inspection methods

While this list is not exhaustive (for example, a 5% failure rate may be too high or some buyers may accept devices in a physical condition that others would not), it is intended to an indicator as to what is going on in the market and is a reminder to be aware of the risks of sourcing without adequate quality control measures in place.

Xilinx XC2S600E-6FGG456C (Date Codes 1233 and 1237) - 17% Failure Rate - Program error and no output.

 

Altera EPCS64SI16N (Date Code 409) - 100% Failure Rate - ID-check error.

 

Xilnix XC4020E-4HQ208I (Date Code 1023) - 11% Failure Rate - Program error, cannot load the bitstream and with no output.

 

STMicroelectronics STPS1H100A (Date Code not marked or labeled) - 100% Failure Rate - Forward Voltage, Vf, was more than Forward Current, If. 

 

AVX VC120626F540RP (Date Code labeled 1349) - 74% Failure Rate - High breakdown voltage, Vb.

 

Everlight QTLP601C-7 (Lot Code Y120817BE240219M) - 100% Failure Rate - Reversed polarity.

 

Xilinx XC7K325T-1FFG900I (Date Code 1339) - 78% Failure Rate - Vccio and Vccaux shorted to ground.

 

Texas Instruments TMS320F2812PGFA (Lot Code 4CAX72W) - 100% Failure Rate - Opens and bad protection diodes.

Everlight QTLP601C-7 - Reversed polarity with high Forward Voltage and high Reverse Current
                                                      
Notes:

1. Statistics are calculated as a percentage of all lots dis-positioned within the given time period.

2. "Accept" is defined as customer acceptance of report device condition.

3. "Pass" is defined as meeting electrical parameters defined by the agreed upon test plan.
