Week 15 Summary                                                                        

 

Both Electrical Testing and Inspection yields started April in discouraging fashion. Inspection yields continued April's swoon, falling to just 58% acceptance in Week 15, down for third straight week and 13 points lower than Week 14.

 

Testing yields also slipped, falling to 70% in Week 15 from Week 14's short-lived recovery, having posted 77% in Week 14.

 

There were six lots in total with higher than a 5% failure rate, two of which had 100% failure rates.

Holiday Notice
May 1 - International Labor Day (May Day)

 

  • Our Shenzhen laboratory will be closed from Thursday, May 1, through Saturday, May 3, reopening on Sunday May 4.

  • Our Client Services office and Hong Kong facility (logistics, warehousing, packaging, and inspection) will be closed on Thursday, May 1, only and otherwise will maintain regular operating hours to minimize the impact of the holiday.
  • Note that shipments made from the lab on Wednesday, April 30, will therefore be shipping from Hong Kong on Friday, May 2.
  • If your April invoicing depends on shipping from Hong Kong within April, please have suppliers deliver early accordingly. Note that many trading companies in China observe the same holiday schedule as our laboratory.
  • Our Hong Kong facility will also be closed on Tuesday, May 6, for Buddha's Birthday. Yup, believe it.
