China Coming back to Life after the Spring Festival
2014 - The Year of the Horse

Many manufacturers resumed operations on Friday the 7th and will continue to ramp up as their full workforces return from the holiday break. 

 

Service and trading companies, including the electronics trading markets, largely resumed operations today and will also continue to ramp up as staff return from their journeys to all parts of China, and internationally.

 

Hong Kong officially returned to work on Tuesday the 4th, albeit not at full scale as many took advantage of the country-wide shutdown of their huge neighbor.

Week 5 Summary                                                                        

 

Electrical Testing yields dipped from 76% in Week 4 to 59% in Week 5 on relatively light activity as the Chinese New Year holiday approached..

 

Inspection yields edged forward again to 65% in Week five, up from Week 4's 62% in Week 4, marking a third straight week of improvement after starting 2014 with an abysmal 28%.

 

There were six lots with higher than a 5% failure rate, on of which was 100% with incorrect pin assignments.

Cirrus Logic ISP1160BM/01 (Date Code 1239) - 100% Failure Rate - Incorrect pin-outs.

 

ST Microelectronics STY60NM50 (Date Code not marked or labeled) - 24% Failure Rate - Low breakdown and high leakage.

Cirrus Logic ISP1160BM/01  - Pins 23, 30, 31, 36, 41, 48, and 49 are Non-Connects (NC). Should be pins 26, 30, 31, 36, 38, 41, 48, 49, and 61.
