Weeks 43 Summary 

  

First and foremost, best wishes to all affected by the devestation left by Hurricane Sandy. We all hope that you, your family, friends, colleagues, properties and communities the fastest possible recovery from any damage caused by the storm.

 

Back to the Quality Report, Week 43 saw the second consecutive week of declining yields in both inspection and electrical testing. Is this an indicator that inventories are drying up?

 

Buyer acceptance following Inspection results dropped to 63.3% in Week 43 from 70% in Week 42.

 

Electrical testing yields dipped nearly another two points, down to 63% in Week 43 after sliding to 64.7% in Week 42.

If there was any doubt after the SUM90P10-19L where determined to be resurfaced and refurbished, 100% electrical failure was conclusive.

 

Substandard Part Listing 

 

Xilinx XC4020E-4HQ208I (Date Code 0512) - 5.83% failure - Can not load bitstream via JTAG and PROM.

 

Atmel AT49BV320D-70TU (Date Code 0720) - 68.80% failure - Program & verify error.

 

Vishay SUM90P10-19L (Date Code not marked or labeled)- 100% failure - All failed with low drain-source voltage, low drain current and high on-state resistance.

 

Xilinx XC4VLX40-10FFG1148I (Date Code 1121) - 6.54% failure - Program error that the VCCINT and VCCIO are shorted to GND.

 

Altera EP2S90F1020I4N (Date Codes 0917, 0913) - 34.94% failure - Can not load the program via JTAG and AS mode.

 

Freescale Semiconductor MPC8360VVAGDGA (Date Code 1133) - 15.15% failure - Short pins and bad protective diodes.

 

Sipex SP6330EK1-L-X-L-C/TR (Date Code not marked or labeled) - 6.98% failure - Either always high or low at any input level.

Notes:

1. Statistics are calculated as a percentage of all lots dispositioned within the given time period.

2. "Accept" is defined as customer acceptance of report device condition.

3. "Pass" is defined as meeting electrical parameters defined by the agreed upon test plan.
