Fifteen-year-old Arjun and eleven-year-old Aparna Ayyangar will perform a holiday concert. Both have won many awards for their musical skills and have performed at national and international venues. Arjun is currently a student at SDSM&T; Aparna attends Southwest Middle School.
Arjun and Aparna perform frequently at Atlanticare Regional Medical Center in Pomona, NJ as part of the hospital's Creative Arts Healing Program.

Custer resident, retired pastor and balloon enthusiast Arley Fadness has written a new book, "Balloons Aloft: Flying South Dakota Skies." Arley will share with us the fascinating history of ballooning in South Dakota. Hear eyewitness accounts of the launches, crashes and landings of Explorer I and II out of the Stratobowl, as well as the SkyLab I and SkyLab II, Manhigh and Excelsior flights which helped prepare the U.S. for space travel.

Concert with Kenny Putnam, Boyd Bristow and Paul Larson

Back by popular demand, musicians Kenny Putnam and Boyd Bristow will perform their annual holiday concert at the downtown library. This year they will be joined by cowboy musician Paul Larson. Paul is a native of southern Minnesota who now makes his home near Rochford. He is known for his baritone voice and cowboy yodel. Kenny and Boyd recently appeared on his newest CD, "Home." Look for selections from the CD as well as cowboy and holiday favorites. Don't miss this special appearance by these three talented friends!

Paws to Read @ the Library
Reading with Rhett the Pet Partners Dog

1 - 3 p.m. at RCPL Downtown
Would your child like to read with a handsome standard poodle named Rhett? 6 Children will have the opportunity to read with this R.E.A.D (Reading Education Assistance Dog) Certified dog and his handler, Madonna Goodart.
Rhett has been trained and tested for health, safety, skills and temperament. His mission is to help children improve their reading skills in a fun and relaxing therapeutic setting. The only requirement is that the child must be able to read.
Parents can register their child on the library website from the Event Calendar.
