This location offers everything you've come to expect from the Rapid City Public Libraries while serving the needs of our students and faculty. This library includes public meeting rooms, great programming, online and print collections, e-books and much more.

F: 7:30 a.m. - 5 p.m.     

 

Weekend hours will begin sometime in January.  

We have some great programs that will begin in January as well. Watch for Story Times, Gaming, Off the Shelf Book Club and more. Information will be available on the website and in the January newsletters.

Those on the go, can study anytime and anywhere with the Mango App! The only hard part about Mango is deciding which language you want to learn! You can also find definitions, legal Q & A and tax forms! All this is available to you through our website whenever and wherever is most convenient for you!

Beginning in January, a new gaming station will be available upstairs at RCPL Downtown during library hours. This will replace monthly gaming days Downtown.

 

Gaming Days at our new location at WDT will begin in January and will be held on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of each month from 3:30 - 5 p.m.

The Rapid City Public Library has served the Rapid City area since 1879 and now offers two library locations.  Both offer print and electronic resources for adults, young adults and children as well as computers and internet access and a variety of programs and events.  In early 2008, USA Today selected the Rapid City Public Library downtown as one of the nations 10 greatest places to "Find a Nook and Read a Book."
