Clara Reynolds
President & CEO
Crisis Center of Tampa Bay
A Letter From Our New President & CEO

Hello to our supporters and friends of the Crisis Center of Tampa Bay!

My name is Clara Reynolds, and it is an honor to introduce myself to you as the new President and Chief Executive Officer of the Crisis Center of Tampa Bay.  I am proud to have the privilege of leading this amazing organization.  In my new role as CEO, I look forward to working with each of you and our dedicated staff to increase the number of people we serve, grow the number of volunteers who help the Crisis Center of Tampa Bay provide its services and to raise the funds and awareness needed to ensure that no one in our community has to face crisis alone.

I am a native of Tampa and a product of Hillsborough County Public Schools.  Like many people, I experienced a devastating loss during my high school years. Through my personal crisis, I found a passion for working with traumatized children which led me to pursue a Masters of Social Work degree from Florida State University.  Over the past 21 years, I have worked in Hillsborough County as a child protective investigation's intern, a school social worker, and as the founder and executive director of Success 4 Kids & Families. I intend to use my experience and skills to help the Crisis Center continue to thrive and expand its remarkable services and programs.

It is heart wrenching to me that so many families, veterans, and elderly members in our community suffer crises on a daily basis, which is why our mission is so essential: to ensure that no one in our community has to face crisis alone.  Over the last year, your commitment to the Crisis Center and your investment in our work allowed us to provide the following services:

* 2-1-1 handled over 106,000 calls in 2014 including 16,832 crisis calls
* Family Stabilization provided 4,746 households with financial case management and advocacy
* Corbett Trauma Center served over 900 clients including over 350 children
* Sexual Assault Services provided sexual assault forensic exams for 305 survivors
* Telephone Reassurance volunteers made 61,620 calls to elderly and disabled adults
* TransCare provided mental health transportation to 7,112 people and medical transportation to
  28,435
* Education and Outreach provided 1,211 teens with Sexual Violence Prevention Training

We simply can't do what we do without you!  I want to personally thank you for all of your past, your present and your future support.  Together, we will continue to provide help, hope and healing to those in our community facing crisis.

Clara
