PNC Bank Provides Food for Thought at Legacy
Society Lunch

What do Sonny Bono, Pablo Picasso, and Jimi Hendrix all have in common? Aside of being celebrities and multi-millionaires, they all passed away without an estate plan, or even a basic Will. The end result was years of family turmoil, legal proceedings, and heartache.

Odds are you aren't a celebrity or a millionaire, but that doesn't mean that you don't need to let your future intentions be known. You may have a life insurance policy, own a home, and have a healthy savings account, but have you answered questions like "Are my insurance beneficiaries up to date?", "Who will make my medical & financial decisions if I'm not able to?" and "Who will be the guardian of my young children?".

Sponsored by PNC Bank, the Crisis Center of Tampa Bay hosted the annual Legacy Society lunch at Mise en Place restaurant on March 20th. Over 40 people attended and learned more about estate planning and planned giving.

PNC's Dianne Jacob & Sue Lynn discussed the importance of a well thought out estate plan and of periodically reviewing your estate documents. Mickey Castor, spouse of the late Judge Don Castor who remembered the Crisis Center in his estate plans, shared why it's important to establish a family tradition of legacy giving.
