Save the Date for "Giving Tuesday": December 2nd
So what exactly is Giving Tuesday? It's a campaign to create a national day of giving at the start of the holiday season. It came about in 2012 to help kick off the "season of giving" on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving. It celebrates and encourages charitable activities that support non-profit organizations.
How can Giving Tuesday help The Crisis Center of Tampa Bay? People turn to the Crisis Center of Tampa Bay every day for help. They call 2-1-1 to talk to a crisis specialist; they attend empowerment programs to find their voice after a sexual assault; they visit Corbett Trauma Center to receive counseling after living for years in an abusive relationship.
It takes millions of dollars each year to provide these services to people. Your special gift on Giving Tuesday is a way to say. "I believe in the Crisis Center and I don't want people to face crisis alone!"
You can make a one-time gift on Giving Tuesday, or you can choose to make a monthly or quarterly donation. You can donate any amount you wish. Every little bit can have a big impact on someone's life!
