Crisis Center of Tampa Bay Commended
By Hillsborough County Government

Two Hillsborough County offices recently recognized the Crisis Center of Tampa Bay for various services it provides to the community through its Family Stabilization department.

The Hillsborough County Commission issued a proclamation commending the Crisis Center of Tampa Bay for being part of county efforts to help indigent families without health insurance who are being treated in local emergency departments

and hospitals. The proclamation also commended the Crisis Center's work in the areas of prevention, integration of primary care, strategic outreach, and patient education.

In addition, the Hillsborough County Hospital Authority (HCHA) provided the Crisis Center of Tampa Bay with a grant that allows the Crisis Center to assist medically indigent individuals in the community. People who are medically indigent do not have health insurance and are not eligible for other health care coverage, such as Medicaid, Medicare, or private health insurance.  At the presentation of the grant, County Commissioner Sandra Murman expressed appreciation for the services the Crisis Center provides to the community.
